Andi Deris

Lead vocals
Birthday: Andi Deris didn't start his musical career as a vocalist. He used to play the guitar at Kiss, but then was coaxed to sing even though he didn't want to. He cites Paul Stanley, Ian Gillan, and Rob Halford as vocal influences, and said that he has spent years trying to figure out how Halford can sing that high. In fact, one of the tunes on the new Helloween single, "Steel Tormentor", is a tribute to Judas Priest. He joined Helloween in order to fulfill Michael Kiske's place as lead vocalist. As a result, a bright new Helloween era has dawned. Lately, he has been working on an album of his own, "Come in from the rain", which was released recently. After the success of the "Rain", Andi could not have missed the train to the new millennium, and so he "does it". He now has formed a band to last, and their new album "Done By Mirrors" carries them (and us) to the new age. |
